So, remember how much we all loved "Pull Shapes" by the Pipettes a few years ago? Remember? Even Smithie discovered them on his own. (It was a year after it hit #1 on our chart. But, still. He got there.) Anyway, they're back - give or take one or two original members - and have released pretty much the best, smartest, most ridiculously incredible pop song of the year thus far. (Shattaapp! I know it's only February.)

Anyway, here's the synopsis: a spaceship comes down and abducts her ex-boyfriend, erases his memory and returns him to Earth. BUT! He totally forgot they broke up! And, now he's in love with her again!!! Martians gave her back her loverboy!

"Our Love Was Saved by Spacemen" - the Pipettes

The chorus, "He loves me ah-GAAAAA-AH-EN-AH-EN-AH-EEENNN!!!" is the best thing I've heard in a while - all joy and deluded denial. (She doesn't care it took an alien abduction to get him back - even though he was a cruel dick to her in the past - he loves her again!!!)

Yeah. I love this song.

I have no shame. So...let me introduce y'all to...

"Dirty Picture", Taio Cruz and Ke$ha (however the fuck you spell her name)

I love that it's about...that. And it's absolutely demented, but crazy catchy. So...FYCFYCFYC!!!!

SNAP!
