Or because you think the massive adulation went to his head a bit too quickly?

Justin Bartha is replacing TR Knight in "Lend Me a Tenor." Not sure what happened to Knight...that seemed to be a really good career track for him.

Exciting news for Chicago theatergoers:
Quote:

Tom Hardy, the British stage and screen actor who won acclaim for his performance in the title role of the 2008 film "Bronson," is set to star in the world premiere of Brett C. Leonard's "The Long Red Road," to be directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman at the Goodman's Owen Theatre.

The play, set on an Indian reservation in South Dakota and written with Hardy in mind (the actor has received special permission from Equity to make his U.S. stage debut), is about a man forced to face his demons in the wake of his role in a tragic family accident.

Ben Wishaw, Andrea Riseborough and Hugh Dancy are in MCC's production of The Pride. It is a great great play and worth checking out - and that cast is very good.

So we were all wrong about "God of Carnage." Lahti, Smits, Potts and Stitt wrap up their run on February 28th and are being replaced by Lucy Liu (!), Janet McTeer, Dylan Baker and Jeff Daniels (who is switching roles).

Anything is an upgrade from the Razzie-worthy atrocity that is Christine Lahti's performance as Veronica.

What is this business with Bernie Peters and Stritchy replacing the leads in "A Little Night Music"? Playbill.com doesn't usually publish gossip so this must be a rumor from a really good source!
