Has anyone seen Seducing Cindy on the Fox Reality channel? It is a reality dating show (much like ones on VH1) starring Cindy Margolis. Of course, it is completely trashy but delicious and entertaining television. The men competing for her "love" range in ages, personalities, and some, are very strange. That being said, one of them is VERY interesting. This is him:

And I say this.... - ABSOLUTELY NSFW - AT ALL -

Great job! Love that Mad Mann included Wallander and Kenneth Branagh on both of his lists. I can't wait for the second series.

I had NO idea Ted was doing his list, so seeing as we both have #1 series and #1 episode, just show you how terrific Mad Men was this season.

I am getting a bit worried about the new season of In Treatment. Shouldn't we be hearing about casting and when filming is set to begin? I mean, the show was renewed but so was Tell Me You Love Me and then they decided they couldn't do it. I hope the same doesn't happen here.

I wouldn't get too concerned about it. Tell Me You Love Me's fate was sealed because of concerns about the creative direction of Season 2 - as in, there wasn't enough of one. I am pretty sure the new writing team for In Treatment had to have a very clear sense of the creative direction of Season 3 before they would consider renewing it.

Did anyone watch Temple Grandin yet? It's gotten pretty great reviews.

Nope. It aired Saturday night, I believe. I haven't checked to see if it's on demand yet. But, I might watch it later this week. I just wanted to see if anyone 'round these parts had gotten around to it yet.

Good to know. I've read really positive things about the film, especially Claire Danes. I'll try to catch it.

I watched it Saturday and was really, really surprised. I was mocking the shit out of the trailer re: Claire Danes's performance, ("I'M TEMPLE GRANDIN! I'M NOT LIKE OTHER PEOPLE!"), but um, it's really good.

I must say that, even though I don't want to make a direct comparison to A Beautiful Mind (autism vs. paranoid schizophrenia), this film does a far, far better job at helping the audience understand the intricacies of the affliction both visually and through sound design.

She's totally winning the Emmy, btw.

I was surprised by how positive about it A.O. Scott and Michael Phillips were on their show. I'm looking forward to seeing it if only because I think there's no way Claire Danes could get away with some of her typical mannerisms (which have grown to annoy me in her adult roles).

Major word.

Yeah, I saw Temple Grandin Saturday night and loved it. Danes is phenomenal, as is the supporting cast. I think the movie does a fantastic job of showing us how Grandin's mind works, and it does so in a very respectful, non-condescending way.

Ya know how we are always throwing things around like so and so was one of our favorite all time characters/actors/shows. I was thinking...after the Oscars die down, it could be kind of fun to do like an All Time Culturish TV awards type deal, where everyone submits nominations for their all time fave shows and performers in different categories and then we vote for the winners. Would peeps be down for that?

André Leon Talley has signed on to be a judge for three cycles of America's Next Top Model (presumably following the cycle that begins on March 3, since I'm sure that has already taped)

Just watched Temple Grandin. Yeah, it's pretty great. I could have done with a touch fewer visual schematics. But, that aside, Danes and Ormond (I really hope she's not forgotten come award time, she's really spectacular) are wonderful. It would be easy for the film to veer off into sentimentality. But, it finds the right balance. There are some genuinely beautiful moments in the film... Ormond's reaction to being basicallly blamed for Temple's autism by a 1951 doctor being chief among them, as well as a moment later in the film where Temple resigns to the fact that she'll never understand how people communicate with her eyes.

So, yeah. Danes and Ormond for the win.

I had a very strong feeling that was going to happen. It had all the makings. The NFL has never been as popular, New Orleans, Peyton Manning, blizzard in the northeast. Ratings gold.

So it even beat MASH's final episode?? I thought that one had like 120 million viewers.
